Winnemac Park
I ADORE this location. If you want greenery without the downtown crowds, Winnemac is such a sweet little pocket. Wide open fields, tree lined paths, and tall grass in the late summer. It feels calm and neighborhoody in the best way. It’s perfect for couples who want something simple and natural without a big production. The light here gets really soft in the evening, especially filtering through the trees. It’s great for walking shots, blanket in the grass vibes, or just leaning into that relaxed, cozy energy. Low key. Peaceful. A little hidden gem on the North Side.
When is the ideal time to take photographs here? Spring-Fall! I do not recommend this location during the winter months since it is primarily nature locations.
Meeting spot: We would meet in the park's parking lot off Damen: 5110 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60625
Parking: easiest parking ever! There is a free parking lot when you arrive to the park. Just make sure you enter the park from N. Damen Ave. It's the park's parking lot as well as the Amundsen High School parking lot.

If you want classic, bright, unmistakable Chicago… this is it. The details are stunning up close, and the bridge connecting the two towers gives you such a cool architectural backdrop. You’re right by the river and surrounded by skyline views, so it feels iconic without trying too hard. Clean. Historic. Big Chicago energy in the prettiest way.

When is the ideal time to take photographs here? Any season! Definitely my favorite winter spot, especially during Christmas time! There is a huge Christmas tree during December and great holiday lights! A great starting spot in the Spring-Fall as well. The tulips are soooo pretty in the Spring! Gorgeous at all times of day.

If you want personality and a little sports nostalgia, this is such a fun one. The iconic red marquee is instantly recognizable and adds the perfect pop of color. It’s bold, playful, and feels very “we love this city.” Getting that classic shot under the sign? So good. And then you step into the neighborhood- brick buildings, ivy, classic Chicago walk ups, neighborhood bars, and tree lined streets. It feels lived in and full of character. Energetic. Nostalgic. A little playful in the best way. The spot for every Cubs fan! I lived here for 7.5 years so I ADORE it.
Permit: None needed.
Meeting spot: Wrigley Field! We will meet on the corner of Clark + Addison in front of the red marquee.
Parking: There is lots of street parking around the area! Just leave yourself enough time to find parking and time to walk over to the meeting spot.
